gg-bridge-view_32This is the spectacular view our sculpture Tempest is about to enjoy.   She’s being installed in the incredible rooftop garden at the upcoming 2009 San Francisco Decorator Showcase.   You, too, can enjoy this view and other inspiring spaces (both indoors and out) between April 25-May 25.

The celebrated landscape architects from  Suzman & Cole Design Associates have honored us by featuring our sculpture in their elevated landscape. Their team is now busy moving and installing hundreds (maybe thousands?) of elements up onto the roof  (sculpture, plants, decking, planters, trellis, soil, soil and more soil).  It’s going to be stunning.  More photos to come.

Wow.  We hung our “internet shingle’ in January ’09, and have been so inspired by the overwhelming and enthusiastic response.   Designers, architects, art consultants, retailers, journalists, friends, loved ones.   We might be on to something!!!

Great start with a beautifully written article in 805 Living by garden writer, blogger and author Debra Prinzing who’s new book Stylish Sheds and Elegant Hideaways is a must read!   http://www.shedstyle.com/2009/01/05/art-in-the-garden/#more-1555.

One of the many landscape designers who contacted us was the uber-creative Ryan Prange,  who owns Falling Waters Landscape Design, www.fallingwatersweb.com.  He put together a compelling modern display for the San Diego Spring Garden show in Del Mar featuring two of our pieces. With smooth serpentine seat walls, boulders, berms, dunes and grasses – it was a true coastal retreat.   You can see in the background of our photo Ryan also included one of the “greenest” and best looking pre-fab buildings (i.e. POD = personal-outdoor-dwelling) we’ve ever seen from Modern Cabana, www.moderncabana.com. Innovative design inside and out.

We’re now in DIGS –  a very hip outdoor living store in Palm Springs.  DIGS stands for “design inspired garden spaces.” Nestled in a beautiful garden setting (and against a dramatic mountain backdrop) owner Paula Walter‘s unique aesthetic shows in every aspect of this establishment.  Paula also offers landscape design services and is committed to improving her community.  Now that’s something we really DIG!!!! http://www.digspalmsprings.com.
